Mediterra DataCenters has entered the Spanish market with plans to develop a data center campus in the Barcelona area, scheduled for commissioning in the second half of 2027.

The 9,700 square-meter facility will feature a modular design optimized for high-density AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, utilizing liquid cooling and a water-saving closed-loop system. Backed by DWS Infrastructure and led by CEO Emmanuel Becker, the project will run entirely on green energy, utilize HVO100 for backup generators, and feature a system to export its waste heat to local public utilities.
