LG CNS, the South Korean data center services provider, has formed a joint venture with PT SMPlus Digital Investment (SM+), a Sinar Mas-backed digital infrastructure platform, to develop an AI-based data center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The $300 million project is designed and operated by the joint venture company, LG Sinar Mas (LG SM).

The companies aim to develop a 44,195 sqm data center on an 8,515 sqm plot of land located in Menteng Atas, Setiabudi in Jakarta. The facility will total 11 stories.

The US$ 300 million state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2026.
