KatloTech: Ice Fox DC, Hay River

Year Planned: 2027

IceFox Data Center is a proposed modular data center campus on K'atl'odeeche First Nation reserve land near Hay River, Northwest Territories, developed by KatloTech Communications. The project would reuse a former Nav Canada radar facility site, with construction planned in phases supporting Edge computing before expanding toward AI and HPC workloads. It would rely on hydroelectric power tied to the planned Taltson hydro expansion, using a proprietary snow-cell cooling system that draws on stored winter snow and meltwater to maintain a low-temperature chilled loop year-round. The project remains in the planning stage, with land access, funding, and environmental review still pending.
