The planned hyperscale campus in Van Buren Township is being developed by Panattoni and has been identified as a Google project, following its earlier codename “Project Cannoli.” The ~280-acre site is designed to support up to 1GW of capacity, making it one of the largest proposed data center developments in the Midwest. Power for the facility will be supplied by DTE Energy under a long-term agreement that includes significant new clean energy generation and grid infrastructure.
