The Spanish energy leader Forestalia is significantly expanding its portfolio by entering the high-tech infrastructure sector with the launch of the Búfalo Project. This ambitious initiative involves a total investment of €12 billion to develop a massive network of three state-of-the-art data centers in the Aragon region of Spain.

The largest and most significant installation within Forestalia’s tech portfolio is DCM Blue, situated in the municipality of Alfamén. With a staggering investment of €5.4 billion, this "mega-unit" is nearly double the size of the other campuses and acts as the project's heavy lifter. To support its massive processing requirements, DCM Blue features the highest level of renewable integration, with 146.5 MW of associated on-site energy generation.

This site is expected to be a major economic driver for the area, projected to create over 1,350 permanent, high-tech jobs. Its scale and energy-efficiency model make it one of the most significant hyperscale developments currently planned in Southern Europe.
