Opened in 2013, Italian oil giant Eni's Green Data Centre is located just south of Milan, near Pavia. This facility spans 5,200 square meters (55,970 sq ft) and offers a power density of 50kW per square meter. Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, the data center is partially energized by a 1MW photovoltaic power plant and is home to several powerful supercomputers.
