US operator DataBank is planning to develop Project Indo, a massive 1.1 million square foot data center campus on 69 acres in Cartersville, Georgia, roughly 42 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.

Located at 218 Industrial Park Road on land currently owned by manufacturing firm CETCO, the proposed development represents a potential $2.4 billion investment at full build out. DataBank has submitted a Development of Regional Impact application and filed for a 288MW utility grid connection, taking advantage of the site's immediate proximity to an existing substation. Designed to expand the operator's footprint in the growing Atlanta metro market, the project's initial phase is targeted to go live in 2032.

DataBank is a data center developer and operator that provides colocation, interconnection, cloud and managed services. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Dallas, the company expanded its footprint through acquisitions and new builds.

Following the December 2020 close of its purchase of zColo assets from Zayo, DataBank reported operating 60 data centers across 28 markets in the U.S. and the U.K. In October 2024, DataBank announced an approximately $2.0 billion equity raise led by AustralianSuper to support new campuses in Dallas, Culpeper and Atlanta.
