Data Center Campus
Serverfarm's CTX campus on Cutten Road in northwest Houston's Cypress Creek area, a former Compaq and HP data center site that Serverfarm bought in 2024, next to CenterPoint's Willow substation. First built in 2002, with expansions planned through 2028.
Serverfarm's CTX campus sits at 15555 Cutten Road in unincorporated Harris County, in the Cypress Creek and Vintage Park area of northwest Houston near the former Compaq and HP headquarters.
History. The land is part of the Compaq Center East subdivision. HP built and ran the data center buildings, which DXC Technology later operated. Manulife-backed Serverfarm bought the 52.8-acre property in August 2024 through SF HOUH LLC and SF HOUC LLC. It first marketed the site as HOU2 and later renamed it CTX.
Redevelopment. In 2025 Serverfarm refit the larger existing building for a tenant. The work renovated the data halls, added electrical and mechanical rooms and replaced the generators. Serverfarm then cleared the older north building and broke ground on CTX2 in its place in July 2025. HKS designed CTX2, and Clune Construction is building it.
Power. CenterPoint Energy serves the campus. CenterPoint's Willow substation (138/34.5/12.5 kV) adjoins the site to the west, and CenterPoint took a parcel out of the campus tract in July 2025. Serverfarm cites 175 MVA of utility capacity. CTX2 uses identical load groups, each with a 3,000 kVA transformer, a 3,300 kW generator and dual 1,000 kW UPS modules.
Cooling and connectivity. CTX2 uses waterless air-cooled chillers. The campus has seven carriers and two meet-me rooms.
