Web hosting service, SiteGround, has announced that it has opened a new data center in Madrid, Spain, the seventh SiteGround data center to open around the world and the fourth in Europe. In addition to the new facility, the company also announced the expansion of its content delivery network in the country.
This announcement follows on from its partnership with Google to use Google Cloud for part of the SiteGround hosting infrastructure.
"Throughout the years, we've been growing our data center network by adding new geographical locations," Daniel Kanchev, a product and technology lead at SiteGround, commented. "From now on all new accounts of our Spanish customers will be created by default in our Madrid data center."
