Google: Google Launches First Spanish Region in Madrid

Google has announced that it has opened its first cloud region in Madrid, Spain. The company noted that the just opened cloud region is designed to meet the technological needs of businesses in Spain. In addition, it added that the region helps provide low latency cloud services with high data protection and international security standards. Google also noted that all these are on the cleanest cloud in the data center industry.

According to Google, the Madrid region is opening with three cloud zones. This is to prevent interruptions of service. This is Google’s ninth cloud region in Europe. The company plans to launch more regions in Berlin, Germany, and Turin, Italy, in the nearest future. Google first announced plans for the new region in 2020. The company delivered the cloud region in conjunction with Telefonica.
