NTT Vienna: NTT Third Building at its Vienna Data Center Comes Online

NTT has opened a brand-new facility on its Vienna, Austria data center campus. The extension, which was announced in October 2021, increases the site's size to 92,500 square feet and its capacity to 15.2 megawatts. In 2015, NTT purchased the Austrian data center when it purchased German firm e-shelter from US investment company ABRY and Investa Holding, a real estate firm overseen by e-shelter CEO Rupprecht Rittweger. In addition to Vienna, NTT also acquired centers in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Munich, Germany, and a data center in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2019, NTT discontinued the e-shelter brand. November 2019 saw the opening of Vienna's Building B. NTT also houses bees on the roof of the buildings.
