NTT Berlin 2 (Marienpark): NTT Opens its 24MW Berlin 2 Data Center Campus

NTT has opened a new data center campus in Berlin, Germany. The company announced that its Berlin 2 facility is now live. The facility is located at Lankwitzer Strasse 45-47 and currently houses two data centers. The facility will also provide an initial IT power of 24MW across 107,650 square feet (10,000 square meters) of data center space. 

The CEO of NTT Global Data Centers in EMEA, Florian Winkler, said: "The heart of the digital economy and society beats in data centers. If we want to successfully implement the German government's digital strategy, we urgently need data centers like these. At the same time, a location here in Germany guarantees companies their digital sovereignty, i.e., the greatest possible control over the IT systems and data used."

According to Winkler, the next phase of development at the facility will be Berlin 2 C and D buildings. Upon completion, the campus will have a maximum IT capacity of 48MW across 19,200 square meters of data center space.
