Maincubes Completes First Module Of New Frankfurt Data Center

German data center operator Maincubes has completed the first module of its FRA03 facility in Frankfurt, a 16MW site featuring 7,680 sqm of data hall space across three floors and six IT rooms. The facility will run entirely on renewable energy and include waste heat recovery technology.

Maincubes began developing FRA03 in late 2024 after announcing plans in 2022, with the Frankfurt facility reaching structural completion in June 2025. Located in Schwalbach am Taunus on a former Samsung site, the company is also moving forward with plans for additional Frankfurt campuses, FRA04 and FRA05.

Maincubes’ planned FRA04 and FRA05 campuses will offer 40MW and 75MW of capacity, targeting hyperscale and HPC workloads. The company also operates facilities in Berlin and Amsterdam, including a Berlin site under construction with up to 186MW of capacity.
