Real estate firm Five 9s Digital has sold a data center in Columbus, Ohio, with colocation provider Expedient understood to be the buyer. “Five 9s Digital announced the successful sale of a 6MW single-tenant data center in Columbus, Ohio, to its long-term tenant,” the company said this week. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Originally developed by Five 9s Digital in 2016 as a build-to-suit facility, the tenant exercised its option to acquire the asset, with the transaction closing in March 2026. Five 9s did not provide further details, but an image accompanying the announcement appears to show 5700 Innovation Drive in Dublin, Ohio, a site occupied by Expedient. The company has not yet commented on the deal.
According to Expedient’s website, the 29,210 sq ft (2,715 sqm) CMH2 facility provides 4.8MW of capacity across 10,500 sq ft (975 sqm) of raised floor space. The company first announced the site in 2015. Across the wider Columbus area, Expedient operates three facilities totaling 13.4MW across 59,600 sq ft (5,535 sqm) of raised floor space. Its most recent site in the region was acquired in 2024.
