A company planning to construct a 3,200-rack data center in Huaili County, China, has been purchased by Chinese cloud provider CapitalOnline Data Service. This week, the company bought Huailai Wisdom Cloud Port Technology's entire equity stake. The company just recently received authorization to construct a data center. Liling Junchen Enterprise Management Consulting Partnership, Beijing Wangjian Internet Information Service Center, with Ma Shoucheng, will sell Wisdom Cloud Port to CapitalOnline for $3.95 million.
CapitalOnline will commence the data center project for Wisdom Cloud Port after the acquisition. The purchased company intended to construct a data center with 3,200 racks. Although Huailai Wisdom Cloud Port Technology was planning to construct the "Jingbei Cloud Computing Software R&D Center" project in Huoshaoying Village, Donghuayuan Town, in Huailai County, according to a September 2022 statement, CapitalOnline withheld the site. The project will be built in Hebei province, northwest of Beijing, on around 30 acres of land.
CapitalOne was established in 2005 and provides colocation, bare metal, and cloud services. It provides services through its CDS Global Cloud division in the US. The company operates more than 50 satellite locations across mainland China and 10 full-service data centers worldwide. The company lists four locations in Beijing, plus one each in Shanghai and Wuxi.
