According to the Singaporean company, its Keppel Data Centre Fund II LP (KDCF II) has partnered with Heying to develop a greenfield data center facility in Greater Beijing, China. The Huailai Data Centre is located in Huailei County, in Hebei Province. It sits on 3.3 hectares of land. Keppel is developing the data center in phases. The company is also looking to fully develop the data center by Q1 2023. In addition, the Huailai Data Centre will have a gross floor area of 63,000 square meters (678,807 square feet). It will also have the capacity to house over 5,700 high-density racks. Keppel plans to invest up to RMB 1.4 billion ($207.7 million) in developing the data center.
The CEO of Alpha, Alvin Mah, said: “We are pleased to partner with Heying to enter into one of China’s largest data centre hubs.
