Altice Looking to Dispose its Data Center Portfolio

France-based telecommunication firm Altice is mulling over selling its data center portfolio in France. According to L'informe, the telco has asked investment bank, Perella Weinberg, to find a buyer for its 92 data centers across the country. According to reports, Altice wants a minimum of $1 billion for its data center portfolio. 

There has been a recent trend of telcos selling their data center portfolio over the last few years. Altice also sold its Swiss data center businesses Green Datacenter and Green.ch to InfraVia Capital Partners in 2017. 

There are 217 data centers in France.
