The French telecommunications company Altice is nearing an agreement to sell its French data centers to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. According to Los Echos, the two companies are in "advanced discussions," and a preliminary valuation agreement has been reached. The 92 data centers may be valued at approximately $1.07 billion. A partial sale is conceivable as well.

In November 2022, it was first reported that the French telecommunications company sought to dispose of up to 92 data centers in its home country, including a 'handful' of larger sites and 'dozens' of lesser facilities. According to reports, the corporation is also negotiating the sale of its Covilh data center in Portugal for $107.8m.

Altice's debts exceed $60 billion, and the company is under investigation for corruption in Portugal. The French subsidiary of Altice, SFR, reportedly operates approximately 26 data centers totaling 1 million square feet, while Altice also possesses several television channels and radio stations. There are five data centers run by Altice Portugal, totaling 183,000 square feet.
