Telia owned and ran this data center until 2018, when it sold the building to DigiPlex in a sale-leaseback and stayed on as anchor customer. It traded as DigiPlex Copenhagen until STACK absorbed DigiPlex in 2022. Apollo-managed funds bought it in 2025, and it now operates as Vaultica.

COP01 is constructed of a heavy concrete frame arranged over three levels and a technical basement, which provides all necessary data center facilities. The building is protected by perimeter fencing, CCTV, access control system and secured by 24/7 security staff.

Operating Company

Operated by:

Vaultica runs carrier-neutral enterprise colocation in five European metros: Milan, Geneva, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. Its seven data centers serve telecom carriers, IT and cloud providers, and financial institutions. It is building MIL03 in Settimo Milanese and plans MAD01 in Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid.

Infrastructure funds managed by Apollo own the company. Apollo agreed on 29 April 2025 to buy STACK Infrastructure's European colocation business from Blue Owl Digital Infrastructure. The carve-out closed on 13 August 2025. STACK had set up the colocation unit in 2024, and it kept its European hyperscale business. The carved-out business launched as Vaultica on 10 December 2025.

Leadership

  • Sherif Rizkalla, CEO. He led SUPERNAP Italia from 2019, then STACK's Italian and Swiss business, then STACK EMEA's enterprise colocation unit.
  • Roger Semprini, Group Chief Commercial Officer since December 2025. He was previously managing director of Equinix Switzerland.

Predecessor brands

  • DigiPlex (Nordics): Byrne Murphy and Bill Conway bought the Norwegian operator in 2001. DigiPlex built the Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen sites. IPI Partners bought it in 2021.
  • Safe Host (Geneva): Gérard Sikias founded it in 2000. Safe Host built the two Geneva-area sites. IPI Partners agreed to buy it in May 2022.
  • SUPERNAP Italia (Milan): Switch, Accelero Capital and Orascom TMT Investments formed SUPERNAP International in 2014. Its Italian arm built the Siziano campus from 2015. IPI Partners bought control in February 2021.

IPI Partners merged DigiPlex and SUPERNAP Italia into STACK EMEA in March 2022 and later added Safe Host.
