CoreWeave has brought most of its planned 22.5MW of IT capacity online at atNorth's DEN01 data center in the Copenhagen metro, its first deployment in Denmark.

atNorth owns and operates DEN01, a colocation site in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen. CoreWeave leases the capacity and runs its own GPU clusters inside the building. Neither company disclosed the length of the agreement or its value.
The compute halls run on NVIDIA Blackwell systems connected with NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand. CoreWeave said the majority of the planned 22.5MW is now live, leaving part of the deployment still to come. DEN01 is atNorth's first Danish site, and Baxtel lists the building at Tonsbakken 12 in Skovlunde.
Surplus heat from DEN01 goes into the local district heating network. Data Center Dynamics reported the heat reuse agreement is sized to warm more than 8,000 homes in the area starting in 2028.
"Modern workloads demand digital infrastructure that is not only high performance, but also energy efficient and responsibly operated," said Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson, chief executive of atNorth. "By partnering with atNorth, CoreWeave gains access to DEN01's infrastructure, designed for GPU-intensive processing, while supporting renewable energy development through power purchase agreements and helping warm local homes through heat reuse."
Denmark lifts CoreWeave's European infrastructure to nine data centers across five geographies, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and Norway. CoreWeave also said it is extending its global AI network backbone with new points of presence in the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Korea and Japan. Those sites begin coming online later in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a full loop planned for mid-2027. Each point of presence combines multiple 400 gigabit-per-second connections, hardware-based MACsec encryption and redundant network paths.
"Our customers need more than access to computing capacity," said Sachin Jain, chief operating officer of CoreWeave. "We're expanding our global infrastructure and the network connecting it together, so customers can focus on building and improving AI rather than managing the complexity underneath it."
The Denmark launch follows CoreWeave's recent announcements in Indonesia and India. CoreWeave operated 51 data centers worldwide with more than 1.5GW of active power as of June 30, 2026, and had about 4.2GW of contracted power as of its August 11 earnings call. atNorth is headquartered in Reykjavik and operates seven data centers across the Nordics, with four mega sites under development in Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway and a metro site under construction in Stockholm.
Baxtel tracks 27 data centers in Copenhagen, run by 15 providers. The largest is Microsoft's Hoje-Taastrup site at 32MW, and three Copenhagen facilities are under construction.
