In May 2025, the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors approved the rezoning of nearly 979 acres at the planned Upper Magnolia Green West technology village, enabling data center construction in western Chesterfield. An 880-acre portion of Upper Magnolia Green West - "Tract A" - is only permitted for data center and accessory uses. The 99-acre "Tract B" is zoned for advanced manufacturing, data center, research and development and office uses.
