T5 Data Centers is transforming an industrial building in Nampa, Idaho, into a data center. The Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission has already granted a conditional use permit for the project.
The data center will be located at 8300 Birch Lane within the Park 84 industrial site, which is about 20 miles west of Boise. The single-story, 80,000 sq ft building will be dedicated to a single client.
The conversion will occur in five phases. The facility is designed to have minimal power and water needs compared to other data centers, and it will use air-cooling technology. Idaho Power has confirmed that the necessary power is available at the site.
