Located in Joliette, Québec, the hydro-powered facility known as Center One was originally established and operated by Canada Computational Unlimited Corp. (CCU.ai) starting in 2017.
Tailored to leverage Québec’s clean, renewable energy grid, the site was initially dedicated to sustainable Bitcoin mining. The firm later changed its name to SATO Technologies Corp., under which it currently operates the facility while executing a multi-phase retrofit to transition the site into a high-density Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) data center.
SATO, founded in 2017, is a publicly listed company providing efficient computing power. The Company currently operates one center tailored to provide computing power for Bitcoin Mining, but may look to expand or add additional centers for High Power Computing (“HPC”), Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), and L2’s.
