The Sabey Data Centers project in Decatur Township, known as the Decatur Technology Park, represents a $4 billion investment designed to support high-density computing and artificial intelligence workloads. Situated on a 130-acre site, the campus development is scheduled to begin with site preparation and grounding in 2026.
The campus will feature two primary structures: Building A, a 572,500-square-foot single-story facility, is targeted for completion in 2028, while Building B, a 490,000-square-foot two-story structure, is expected to be finished by 2030. To facilitate these operations, AES Indiana plans to have initial infrastructure upgrades ready by Q4 2027.

Sabey Data Centers is one of the largest privately owned multi-tenant data center owner/developer/operators in the world. Being privately-owned may mean that ours is never a household name, but to us, it means a complete focus on building value by serving one customer at a time.
Sabey Data Centers grew out of Sabey Corporation’s forty plus year history as a designer, builder and operator for leading innovators of the day: Boeing Electronics’ clean rooms, McCaw Cellular’s first cell phone switches, and Exodus Communications, provider of the world’s first internet colocation services — all were breaking new ground in industries of world-wide importance.
