The EDM2 facility (along with eight other data centers across Canada) was acquired from Rogers Communications by InfraRed Capital Partners. The deal was finalized in late 2025, leading to the official launch of Qu Data Centres in December 2025 to manage and operate the portfolio. Although the physical infrastructure is now owned by Qu Data Centres, Rogers Communications continues to be active at the site as a key network and service provider.
Rogers acquired this site when it bought Pivot Data Centers in September 2013. Pivot Data Centers was previously known as Care Factor Computer Services Inc. Care Factor was founded in 1989 as Computer Maintenance Corporation (Canada) Inc.
