In response to the opposition, the developer, Western Hospitality Partners, has withdrawn its original application and is now pursuing a much smaller, downsized plan at a different location within the county.
Western Hospitality Partners had planned to develop a significant data center campus, known as Project Lincoln: OC Data Center, on a 267-acre site located at 3557 North Highway 53, just outside La Grange in Oldham County. This location is approximately 28 miles northeast of downtown Louisville.
The ambitious project had envisioned up to eight buildings, totaling 2.5 million square feet (232,255 sqm), and would have included an on-site substation on N 1st Avenue.
