Prime Data Centers, together with Brunswick Real Estate, has secured rights to acquire a municipally offered site on Nordre Tovrupvej in Esbjerg for the planned ESB01 campus. The development is designed to scale to 550MW of IT load, with an initial 160MW phase representing about DKK 15 billion / €2 billion of investment ($2.35 billion). Publicly available information shows the project is now entering the Environmental Impact Assessment stage, with the first building potentially breaking ground in 2027 and the first capacity expected online in late 2029. The campus is being positioned around Esbjerg’s renewable power profile, cable connectivity, and district-heating potential for waste-heat reuse.
