European cloud and colocation provider OVHcloud has announced the opening of a new data center in the Milan region of Italy. This new facility is believed to be a former DXC Technology data center.
Details regarding DXC's departure from the site and whether OVHcloud has purchased or leased the facility remain undisclosed.
The new Milan data center will be a key component of OVHcloud's upcoming Availability Zone (3-AZ) in the Lombardy region. This 3-AZ region, which was announced in late 2024 and is expected to be operational by the end of 2025, will provide highly secure public cloud services to customers in the area.
