Paris
French utility EDF and OpCore, a joint venture between Iliad and InfraVia Capital Partners, have entered exclusive negotiations to build a major hyperscale data center in Montereau. The project represents a massive €4 billion investment and will be situated on a 20-hectare site (the former Montereau-Vallée-de-la-Seine thermal power plant).
With a total potential capacity of several hundred megawatts, the facility is set to become one of Europe's largest computing hubs. The first phase is scheduled to come online in 2027, benefiting from France’s fast-track grid connection scheme designed to accelerate power delivery for strategic infrastructure.
