Meta is developing a substantial data center campus in Lebanon, Indiana. This project, initially codenamed "Project Domino," has grown significantly from its original $800 million estimate, with filings suggesting the potential for up to six phases. The total investment could eventually reach $4.8 billion, making it one of the largest infrastructure commitments Meta has made in the U.S., ultimately spanning 1,400 acres in Boone County.

The completed campus is planned to include 12 data center buildings along with a dedicated AI-Network facility, providing over 4.6 million square feet of compute infrastructure. This massive development is expected to have a considerable local economic impact, projecting over $80 million in property taxes and $33 million in community payments over 15 years. The construction and scaling of the necessary infrastructure are scheduled to occur between 2027 and 2031, with Meta planning for a daily water usage of up to 3 million gallons.
