Site planned for 2027 and has expansions through 2028
Ownership: LightHouse Data Centers owns the building.
Lot Size: 152 acres

While originally slated as a milestone expansion for Data Journey LLC, the Spartanburg data center project took a sharp turn in late 2025. Despite an initial agreement to purchase the 152-acre site for $12.1 million, Data Journey withdrew just before the August closing deadline, forfeiting a $400,000 deposit to the seller, Greenidge Generation.

This exit paved the way for The Lightstone Group (LightHouse Data Centers), which acquired the property in December 2025 for $18 million in cash. The deal includes 60MW of power rights on land Greenidge originally purchased in 2021 for Bitcoin mining. Under this new ownership, the site is being fast-tracked as an AI-ready facility with a target delivery date of September 2026.
