New Continuum Data Centers Acquisition (2019)

SBA Edge, formerly known as New Continuum Data Centers, is a provider of edge data center and colocation solutions. SBA Communications acquired New Continuum Data Centers in July 2019, purchasing the Chicago-based company with its flagship 80,000 square foot data center located in west Chicago and a fiber loop. The acquisition was made as SBA considers entering the data center industry, with CEO Jeffrey Stoops noting they bought it "for a fraction of the replacement cost" to use as an R&D facility.
