Situated next to the AT&T switch hub and JEA’s chilled water plant, the JAX NAP facility sits at the crossroads of the north/south and east/west fiber routes that converge in downtown Jacksonville. Adding in that this location also provides a direct connection to the most reliable municipally-owned electric grid in Florida
JAX NAP hosts three subsea cable system landing points – AMX-1, PCCS, and SAPL. These submarine cable landing points connect Jacksonville to Central and South America, as well as various other Internet traffic exchange points within the Caribbean.

SBA Edge is a subsidiary of SBA Communications, a leading independent owner and operator of communications infrastructure, including towers, rooftops, distributed antenna systems and data centers. With more than 30 years of experience and expertise, SBA is a publicly traded company on NASDAQ (Symbol SBAC) and a member of the S&P 500.
SBA Edge provides edge data center infrastructure for a broad range of customers. The company owns and operates three multi-MW traditional data centers and offers next-generation infrastructure in local markets to support increasingly distributed and mobile computational workloads. Their growing portfolio of edge infrastructure includes mini-data centers with multiple cabinets for colocation and redundant power and systems for critical IT uses, as well as telecommunications shelters with backup power.
SBA Edge, formerly known as New Continuum Data Centers, is a provider of edge data center and colocation solutions. SBA Communications acquired New Continuum Data Centers in July 2019, purchasing the Chicago-based company with its flagship 80,000 square foot data center located in west Chicago and a fiber loop. The acquisition was made as SBA considers entering the data center industry, with CEO Jeffrey Stoops noting they bought it "for a fraction of the replacement cost" to use as an R&D facility.
Matrix is now part of SBA Edge, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SBA Communications Corporation. Matrix has more than 500 active customers and is considered one of the most connected datacenters in São Paulo, with access to more than 200 telecommunications companies.
