Fossefall AS and Numedal Næringspark AS are in discussions about developing a 15 MW AI data center at the former Kongsberg Automotive factory complex in Rollag, Buskerud county, Norway, approximately 50 km west of Oslo.
The factory was established by Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk in 1975, operated by Kongsberg Automotive until the plant closed in 2017, and has stood largely vacant since. Fossefall powers its AI factories using surplus Norwegian hydroelectric energy and leases AI compute capacity to enterprise customers, with US AI firm Seekr as anchor customer and 15.6% equity investor. No sale agreement has been signed, no planning application has been filed, and no timeline or investment figure has been disclosed for this site.
