Eneus Energy: Harlingen RGV Campus

Short Code: RGV DC Project
Year Planned: 2028
Lot Size: 1,785 acres

UK-based developer Eneus Energy is eyeing a massive 1,785-acre site in Cameron County, Texas, for a proposed large-scale data center campus. Representing a potential $14 billion capital investment, the project—dubbed the RGV data center—plans to house 16 data halls supported by a 765kV transmission line.

While Eneus has reportedly secured significant interconnection capacity and held land purchase options since July 2025, the project remains in the "initial planning and evaluation phase." As of February 2026, no formal proposal has been submitted to local authorities. County Judge Eddie Treviño has noted that while the economic benefits are significant, the county must still weigh the project's heavy demands on local land, water, and energy resources.
