Core Scientific is expanding its footprint in Alabama by leasing the AUBix data center in Auburn. The company has taken over operations of the Samford Avenue facility under a lease agreement and intends to purchase the building in the future. Core Scientific plans an initial investment of around $135 million in the data center, with the total project investment anticipated to surpass $400 million.
