Data center and energy infrastructure developer Digi Power X has secured a $200 million debt financing commitment, syndicated by Goldman Sachs and provided by an unnamed major lender. The funding will support its 40MW data center in Columbiana, Alabama, which is being built in two phases: 15MW by the end of 2026 and an additional 25MW by the end of Q1 2027. The company says the project remains on schedule.
Cerebras signed up for the site’s full capacity in May. Digi Power X currently holds around $135 million in cash and has invested approximately $153 million in capital expenditures in 2026. Formerly known as Digihost, the company has shifted from cryptocurrency mining toward AI and HPC data center hosting. In 2025, it launched US Data Centers to focus on AI and HPC colocation.
Digi Power X operates modular Arms 200 compute units, with one deployment already running. It plans to convert its New York data centers for AI use, but a local moratorium enacted in June 2026 has affected its plans.
