COPT Defense Properties plans to develop a large data center campus near Des Moines on a 365-acre plot, which they acquired for $32 million in late September 2024.
The planned development could include 15 buildings of 220,000 square feet each, totaling approximately 3.3 million square feet, along with two substations. The project aims to reach gigawatt scale in power capacity.
