Calvano Development received approval for a rezoning request to create a hyperscale data center campus suitable for companies like Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Google, or Amazon. The 227-acre site, located in northern Wichita Falls near Kiel Lane, City View Drive, and the Northwest Freeway, will be rezoned for this purpose.
The planned data center will be a single-story building up to 45 feet tall and will include battery storage units costing approximately $1 million each. Calvano estimates the project could reach 2.3 million square feet (213,677 square meters) of data center space.
