Project Atlas is a planned hyperscale data center campus located on approximately 235–295 acres in south Coweta. While the project is engineered for high-density operations, it recently faced a significant setback when the Coweta Planning Commission voted 4-1 on January 19, 2026, to recommend denial of the necessary rezoning. This recommendation now moves to the City Council for a final decision amidst concerns regarding transparency and infrastructure strain.
Developed by Beale Infrastructure, the site prioritizes resource efficiency through an air-cooled, closed-loop water system that limits daily consumption to roughly 50,000 gallons—the equivalent of two or three local restaurants. To minimize community impact, the campus will adhere to a strict 65-decibel noise limit at the property line and is expected to become one of the region's largest taxpayers, funding local schools and critical water infrastructure upgrades.
