Amazon Web Services (AWS) is exploring the development of a new data center campus in Calvert County, Maryland, strategically positioned near the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. In collaboration with Constellation Energy, the proposed project envisions a campus of up to eight data centers situated on land already zoned for heavy industrial use.

While AWS has shared early design concepts and conducted preliminary regulatory evaluations, the project remains in the exploratory phase with no formal proposals yet submitted.
