Amazon Web Services (AWS) is securing over 400 acres in Arlington, Oregon, for a future data center campus, adding to their existing Oregon data centers in Morrow and Umatilla counties. The project involves purchasing 376 acres in 2024 ($10M) and an additional 30 acres in 2025 ($3M). Operation is years away due to permits, electricity, and tax break negotiations. Arlington and the port have been preparing the land for over a decade.
