Vantage's flagship campus covers 21 acres between Walsh Avenue and Northwestern Parkway in Santa Clara. One building sits across Northwestern Parkway on land Vantage added in 2016. Vantage was founded in 2010 with backing from Silver Lake, and it acquired and redeveloped a former Intel data center campus here. DigitalBridge acquired Vantage in 2017. The stabilized buildings moved into Vantage SDC, a DigitalBridge-led vehicle, in 2020.
Power. Silicon Valley Power serves the campus through a dedicated on-site substation; Vantage added a third 50 MW transformer in 2017. A 2012 utility upgrade (City of Santa Clara MND, SCH 2012052004) added cooling towers, central chiller plant capacity, switchgear and 15 new 3 MW generators. The Bay Area Air Quality Management District now permits about 44 diesel generators under Plant 20295. Cooling uses recycled gray water.
Connectivity. Four diverse fiber paths enter the campus, with dark and lit fiber available and meet-me rooms in every building.
Tenants and certifications. Telx, now Digital Realty SJC34, anchors the campus interconnection suite in CA11. Early tenants included Mozilla. Vantage markets the campus as the largest LEED Platinum data center campus in North America.
