Switch's Houston 2 campus sits at 660 Greens Parkway in the Greens Crossing area of Greenspoint, North Houston, near I-45 and Beltway 8 and about 12 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The site sits above the 500-year flood plain.

  • Land: One 18.24-acre tract (Greens Crossing Sec 5, Reserve A) held by TX HOU 2 LLC. Houston 2 occupies the eastern half. About 10 acres to the west are vacant and serve as a construction laydown yard.
  • History: Data Foundry, the Yokubaitis family's Austin colocation company, bought the land in 2013 and broke ground in April 2014 with Holder Construction, Corgan and kW Engineering. Houston 2 opened in 2015.
  • Ownership: Switch bought Data Foundry for $420 million in cash, closing in June 2021, and made Houston part of its Texas "Rock" Prime with Austin. DigitalBridge and IFM took Switch private in December 2022.
  • Power: CenterPoint Energy serves the campus over dual underground 34.5 kV feeds into operator-owned 2,500 kVA transformers. Diesel generators sit in a north yard. Switch added a UPS wing and a second generator yard on the south side in 2024-2025.
  • Expansion: In 2021 Switch said it would build a second data center of its own design on the vacant west land. No building permit or TDLR filing for it had appeared by October 2026.
