Prime Data Centers is building a 900,000+ square foot hyperscale data center campus in Elk Grove Village (Chicago), Illinois, which will comprise an investment of around $1 billion. Elk Grove Village is a suburb of Chicago, located 20 miles northwest of the city. First announced in September 2021, the 17-acre Prime ORD will deliver more than 900,000 square feet (96,700 square meters) at full build-out.
- ORD01-01 is the first of three planned buildings. The 384,210 square foot building delivers 200,000 square feet (18,580 square meters) of data hall space across three stories.
