OVHcloud's Strasbourg campus is at 9 rue du Bassin de l'Industrie, in the Port du Rhin industrial zone of the Port autonome de Strasbourg. It sits on a quay between the Bassin de l'Industrie and the Rhine rail yards, about 1 km from the German border at Kehl.
Land. OVH took over ArcelorMittal's port concession on the former ArcelorMittal (ex-PAB Est) plot and built its first container data centers there. In 2018 it leased the adjacent land with an option to buy. The fenced site covers about 1.3 ha across cadastral parcels HZ 193 and part of HZ 203.
Power and infrastructure. Strasbourg Électricité Réseaux supplies the site over two redundant 20 kV feeds into two customer-owned 20 MW substations. OVH added the second, independent feed after a November 2017 outage. Standby power comes from 15 diesel generator sets registered under a May 2022 prefectural order (32.5 MW thermal maximum, two sets redundant). A borehole is permitted for 172,000 m³ a year for OVH's watercooling.
2021 fire. On 10 March 2021 a fire that began in an energy room destroyed one building and damaged a neighbouring one. The French industrial-accident bureau (BEA-RI) published its investigation in 2022. OVH responded with its "hyper-resilience" design: masonry-compartmented rooms, gas suppression, and battery and energy rooms outside the data halls. Its first building of that design opened on the campus with France's economy minister.
Expansion. In November 2025 OVHcloud announced €160-180 million to convert vacant ArcelorMittal buildings in the Port autonome into a new data center.
