Meta's Piqua campus covers 607.66 acres at the northeast corner of Farrington Road and Washington Road in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. The land lies in the city's Piqua I-75 Exit 78 Business and Industrial Park, south of Drake Road.

Land and ownership. J5 LLC (dba Shaytura LLC) assembled 16 inlots in 2025 from Piqua Land Company, Bruns Upper Valley Development, Piqua Materials and neighboring farms. The city annexed the land on January 28 and May 20, 2025, and zoned it IH Heavy Industrial. Hunterbrook traced J5 to Meta in April 2026. The city named Meta in August 2026, when Meta pledged $8 million for Piqua public safety.

Approvals. The city commission approved a development agreement, a 30-year TIF and a water and sewer agreement on November 3, 2025, and added the land to its Community Reinvestment Area. The parties signed the agreements on January 23, 2026.

Power and water. AES Ohio serves the campus under a 30-year franchise the city granted on August 18, 2026. Service needs a new link to AES Ohio's 345 kV grid, about five miles away, and AES will relocate a 69 kV line. During construction, the Piqua Power System feeds the site from a temporary 69 kV substation on Washington Road. J5 pays for the utility and road upgrades. The city supplies water and sewer, and the design uses closed-loop cooling.

Status. Crews demolished farm buildings from May to July 2026. Opponents forced a November 3, 2026 recall election, and a charter amendment that would ban large data centers goes to voters on February 2, 2027.
