Data Center Campus
H5's Quincy campus is Yahoo's former Quincy, Washington data center complex on 63 acres between Intermodal Way and M Street NE, bought by H5 in December 2024. First built in 2007, with expansions planned through 2029.
H5 Data Centers' Quincy campus covers about 62.7 acres in Quincy's northeast industrial district in Grant County, Washington, on Lots 2A and 2C of the Yahoo Property short plat between Intermodal Way NE and M Street NE. Grant County PUD owns the adjoining Lot 2B, which hosts one of the campus's two on-site substations. Together the substations deliver up to about 82 MVA of hydro-sourced power.
Yahoo opened its first Quincy data center here in 2007. It added Computing Coop buildings, which cool with outside air through a roof cupola, from 2011. It then built a fourth-generation Coop building, Project Genesis, on the adjoining east parcel in 2017. The Washington Ecology air permit covers up to 48 diesel backup generators rated 2.0 and 2.75 MWe.
H5 affiliate Hyscale Data Centers Quincy LLC bought the campus in December 2024 in a sale-leaseback, and Yahoo remains a tenant. Lot 2C is still undeveloped. H5 also runs its separate Quincy I facility at 1711 M Street NE.
