Digital Park Düsseldorf is Digital Realty's data center campus in Connecta Park, a multi-tenant business park at In der Steele 25-45 in Hassels, in south-east Düsseldorf. The park sits beside the Düsseldorf-Süd motorway junction (A46/A59), close to the Reisholz S-Bahn station.
-
Land and ownership: Connecta Park covers five cadastral parcels of about 3.6 ha, with a 400-space parking garage. Aroundtown owned the park until 2025, when Principal Asset Management bought it for its European Data Centre Fund I. Digital Realty leases its buildings.
-
Operator history: Interxion built the campus and ran it as its Düsseldorf campus. Digital Realty completed its combination with Interxion in March 2020. In 2021 Interxion signed a 20-year lease on about 12,000 m2 of extra space for a third data center, registered for LEED v4 BD+C Data Centers.
-
Power: Netzgesellschaft Düsseldorf, the Stadtwerke Düsseldorf grid company, supplies the site. Interxion raised the grid connection to 20 MVA and added two transformers. Digital Realty buys 100% renewable power here. Backup is N+1 diesel generators behind 2N UPS.
-
Connectivity: The campus hosts the DE-CIX Düsseldorf and ECIX (Megaport) internet exchanges and more than 100 carriers and ISPs. Customers can order cross connects between all Digital Realty buildings on the campus.
-
Neighbours: Other Connecta Park tenants include NorthC (the former Colt and Lumen data center), PlusServer, comtrance, 1&1 Versatel, Telia, Vodafone and Zayo.
