Teledata has announced that it will launch a new data center in Manchester, UK. The UK data center operator said it would open the data center site- its second in Manchester before the year runs out. The data center will offer up to 4MVA capacity and 2,300 square meters (25,000 square feet) of data center space. Teledata will complete the first three of the planned 10 data halls in Q3/Q4 2022.
The company said in a statement that it has been growing enormously in the last few years. It added that the new data center in Manchester would solve the data center space scarcity in the city. The company continued in the statement that it hopes the new facility will help meet the demands of cloud hosting and colocation space looking for facilities in Manchester.
Teledata’s existing data center in Manchester is in Wythenshawe, which was opened in 2007. The facility offers workplace recovery, cloud, colocation, and dedicated server hosting services across 6,500 square meters (70,000 square feet) of floor space.
