Telehouse has announced the launch of its new data center in London, UK. This will be the company’s fifth data center in London. This data center is being built in stages. The first stage sees development of 2MW of capacity and up to 668 racks, across 18,300 square feet of space and two data halls. There will also be an upgrade to 2.7MW with an extra data hall which will be completed next year. Furthermore, the facility will offer 18MW of power and 129,000 square feet (12,000 square meters) of colocation space across six floors at full buildout.
The company acquired the ten-story facility from Thompson Reuters last year. Telehouse also noted that it would have invested up to $294m in the facility upon full buildout. In addition, the facility will also use 100% green energy in its operations.
